Joy in the season of Advent: as we await the coming of Emmanuel 

Almighty Creator,  The Advent season and preparing for the arrival of baby Jesus refreshes our hearts. The weariness of this world, our lives and our days, can try to steal our joy, but You, You the Lord God Almighty, gave us the greatest gift!  Born out of love, the Nativity gives us what the world cannot give- hope, peace, joy, love.  Emmanuel! God with us!

 Father, You love us so much that You gave us a Savior, a tiny baby who can restore us to the image that You created each of us to be.  We are chosen, we are accepted, cleansed, and renewed because of this awesome gift. Praise be to You, our Lord.

 Wonderful Counselor, You intended for us to have joyful lives so we exchange our heavy, burdened hearts with the anticipation of the birth of Jesus.  In Him, we have life abundant, life to the fullest, a life brimming with joy.  This really is the most wonderful time of the year!  Thanks be to You, our God.
