Parkland Community Church is located in a small, but long-established neighborhood in Middletown Township. The church has existed here for over 100 years! Over the past few years Parkland Community Church has experienced a revival. Church services are well-attended by excited new parishioners. Growth groups are meeting throughout the week.
Besides gathering for worship and study, we are passionate about serving our neighbors. We currently serve as individuals and as a community by providing food for the hungry, visiting prisons, helping orphanages, and hosting fun community events.
What we Believe …
We believe that God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that God is love, but greater than any love we have ever felt. God is light, but brighter than any light that we’ve ever seen. God is wise, but infinitely wiser than that which we can comprehend.
In order to bring human beings into right relationship with God, God the Father sent God the Son. Jesus Christ is 100% God and 100% human. Jesus Christ lived a sinless life. As sinless man and as God himself, Jesus Christ took the place of man and forgave humanity of her sins by offering His life on the Cross. Christ died to save us all from sin, death and hell. On the third day, Christ was resurrected from the dead. Before ascending to heaven, Christ commanded his followers to make disciples by teaching Christ’s commandments and baptizing in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Christ sent the Holy Spirit to the Church to empower the Church to continue Christ’s ministry by spreading the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Just as Christ came to preach the Gospel, heal broken hearts, and set captives free, Christ’s Church exists to be an embodiment of Christ’s love and truth, in a world of need of her Savior, until He comes again.
